Purpose and Goals: The 1800 sq. ft. house will be energy self-sufficient, using active and passive solar energy.

Innovative Techniques: Four recycled, steel freight containers form the base structure of the building. One of these holds the bamboo stems that are used to construct the roof frame.

Cost/Beneifts: Due to the recycled content and additional capital cost savings techniques, we expect the house to be built for less than $100 per / sq. ft.
